Blocking in the Value Pattern

This too was to see/draw the WHOLE before the parts (details) and seeing/drawing as a series of relationships.

This particular drawing was fun for me because I absolutely hated doing anything in charcoal; however, I learned that the reasoning behind my hatred was that I simply didn't know how to use it and this exercise helped me.
